\bold{Possible\:outcomes\:=>\:}

Total number of possible outcomes = 8

\bold{1.\:TTT}

\bold{2.\:HHH}

\bold{3.\:TTH}

\bold{4.\:HHT}

\bold{5.\:HTH}

\bold{6.\:THT}

\bold{7.\:THH}

\bold{8.\:HTT}

P(E) = \: \frac{no \: of \: favourable \: outcomes}{total \: no \: of \: possible \: outcomes}

Number of favourable outcomes = 3

[HHT, HTH ,THH]

Total number of possible outcomes = 8

Therefore probability of getting two heads =>

P(E) = \: \frac{3}{8}

\bold{Therefore\: probability\:of\:getting\:two\: heads\:=\:\frac{3}{8}}

When three coins are tossed together, possible outcomes:-

1) HHH

2) HHT

3)HTT

4)THH

5)TTH

6)TTT

7)THT

8)HTH

So, the total outcomes are :- 8

Favourable outcomes (two heads) =1)HHT
2)THH
3)HTH

 \boxed{ \bf{probability = \frac{favourable \: outcomes}{total \: outcomes} }}

=3/8

\underline{\bf{NOTE}}

Here, we have not taken HHH as a favourable outcome because the question asks for two heads. If it would have been \sf\: atleast\:two\:heads,then we would have included it.

⏩Probability means chance. In other words we need to calculate the chances of any outcome coming.

⏩Probability is never greater than 1 .

⏩Probability is never smaller than 0 .

⏩P(getting an event) +P(not getting an event)=1

SillySam: No, the question asks two heads that are only 3 . If there would have been atleast two heads, we would have taken another outcome i.e. HHH
pratyush4211: ok
SillySam: I initially had written it 3 , but I was wrong, they are actually 4
SillySam: Ohho... lemme ask for edit (dam.n confused in probability) XD
Anonymous: Here probability will be 3/8 because there are 3 outcomes where there will be exactly "2" heads , the question did not specify "atleast 2 heads" . hence HHH should not be considered .
