Given : Three partners A, B and C started a business  jointly with Rs. 12000, Rs. 6000 and Rs. 8000,  respectively.

B invested the capital for a year

they shared the profit equally among  themselves after a year,

To Find : After how many  months A and C should have withdrawn their

investments respectively?

Solution:

B invested the capital for a year = 12 months

B invested  = RS 6000

Hence effective investment = 12 * 6000 = Rs 72000

They shared equal profit hence equal investment should be there

A invested Rs 12000

Months A invested for  = 72000/12000 = 6

A withdrawn after  6 Months

A invested Rs 8000

Months C invested for  = 72000/8000 = 9

C withdrawn after 9  Months

A withdrawn after  6 Months and C C withdrawn after 9  Months
