Answer:

Let the total amount be Rs. p.

Let shares of A and B be Rs. x and Rs. y respectively.

C’s share was Rs. 14

we have, x + y + 14 = p —– (1)

From the given data, x = (p/2) – 4 —– (2)

Remaining amount = p – (p/2 – 4) => p/2 + 4.

y = 1/2(p/2 + 4) + 8 => p/4 + 10 —– (3)

From (1), (2) and (3)

p/2 – 4 + p/4 + 10 + 14 = p

3p/4 + 20 = p

p/4 = 20 => p = Rs. 80..

Answer: 13:12:7

Step-by-step explanation:

A + B + C = $416

$169 + $156 + C = $416

C = $146 - $169 - $156

C = $91

Ratio:

A:B:C

$169 : $156 : $91

\frac{13}{32} : \frac{3}{8} : \frac{7}{32}\\\\

32 x \frac{13}{32} : 32 x \frac{3}{8} : 32 x \frac{7}{32} (simplify the factors with the given number 32)

13 : 12 : 7 (ans)
