★ In 3 1/2 hours, pary of drum filled is -
- ➡ Drum filled = 3.5 × (1/5 + 1/15)
- ➡ Drum filled = 14/15 part
- ➡ Remaining 1 - 14/15 = 1/15th drum.
★ Time required to fill remaining drum by C is -
- ⏲ Time = (1/15) / (1/20)
- ⏲ Time = 4/3 hours
- ⏲ Time = 1 hr 20 min
Therefore,
- C will take 1 hr 20 min ⌚ to fill remaining drum.
