If you are asking in how much time they can fill the tank if they are operated together, here's your answer:

You can convert minutes into hours so the time taken in hours by all pipes will be:

Pipe A= 5 hours

Pipe B= 8 hours

Pipe C= 7 hours

Let's assume total work as 280 units (because it can be easily cancelled by 5,8 and 7)

Then rate of work for Pipes a,b and c will be:

Pipe A= 280/5= 56

Pipe B= 280/8= 35

Pipe C= 280/7= 40

Total capacity= 56+35+40 =131

So time taken by A+B+C= 280/131

= 2.13 hours or 2 hours and 8 minutes or 128 minutes

Given : Three pipes A, B & C can fill a tank in 300 min, 480 min & 420 respectively

all the pipes are opened simultaneously

To Find :  how long will it take for the tank to get full

Solution:

pipe A fill in1 min= 1/300

pipe B fill in 1 min = 1/480

pipe C fill in 1 min = 1/420

All together fill in 1 min = 1/300 + 1/480   + 1/420

=  (1/60) ( 1/5  + 1/8  + 1/7)

= (1/60) (  56  + 35 + 40) /280

= (1/ 16800) (131)

Time taken to fill tank  =  16800/131

=128.24

= 128 mins
