Answer:

37.5 mins

Step-by-step explanation:

Total time taken by 1st pipe alone = a

Total time taken by 2nd pipe alone = b

Total time taken by 3rd pipe alone = c

Let 1/a be the work done by 1st pipe in 1 min , 1/b for the 2nd pipe and 1/c for the 3rd pipe..

Total Time taken by all 3 pipes to fill the tank = 10mins

Work done in 1 min = 1/10

According to Question:

1/a + 1/b + 1/c = 1/10 --------- 1st equation

a = 30

b= 25

Substitute both in 1st Equation

= 1/30 + 1/25 + 1/c = 1/10

After taking L.C.M.

= (5 + 6)/150 + 1/c = 1/10

1/c = 1/10 - 11/150

1/c = (15 - 11)/150

1/c = 4/150

c = 150/4

= 37.5 mins
