Let the cost of the first prize = m

Thus,

Cost of second prize = 5m/6

and, cost of third prize = 4/5 × 5m/6 = 2m/3

Now, combined cost of three prizes = £150.

=> m + 5m/6 + 2m/3 = 150

=> (6m + 5m + 4m)/6 = 150

=> 15m = 6 × 150

=> m = 6 × 10

=> m = £60.

Therefore,

Cost of First prize = m = 60.

Cost of Second prize = 5m/6 = (5×60)/6 = 50.

Cost of Third prize = 2m/3 = (2×60)/3 = 40.
