Given :   three rectangles of dimensions 5 cm x 7 cm, 5 cm x 3 cm and 5 cm x 4 cm.

To Find :  area and perimeter of each rectangle

Solution:

5 x  3  cm

Area  = 15 cm²   as there are 15 squares

Perimeter = 2 ( 5 + 3)  = 16 cm

5 x 4  cm

Area  =20 cm²   as there are 20 squares

Perimeter = 2 ( 5 + 4)  = 18 cm

5 x  7  cm

Area  = 35 cm²   as there are 35 squares

Perimeter = 2 ( 5 + 7)  = 24 cm
