the Given:

The ratio of the Resistance R1:R2:R3 = 1:2:3

To find:

The ratio of the current i1, i2, i3 flowing in the resistances R1, R2, R3

i1:i2:i3 is to be found

Solution:

As per the Ohms law V = IR,

As the three resistances are connected in series, we know that in the series combination of circuits voltage varies in correspondence to resistance and the current remains constant.

Note: Current in series circuit does not depend upon the number of resistances connected in series.

So, the above series circuit will remain the same.

Therefore i1, i2, i3 are the same.

i1=i2=i3=I

Hence, the ratio of i1:i2:i3 is equal to 1:1:1
