The three resistors are connected in parallel so ,

using,

1/R( equivalent )= 1/R1+1/R2+1/R3

1/R(eq)=1/80+1/24+1/32

1/R(eq)= 0.0854

R( eq )= 1/ 0.0854

R(eq) = 11.7

R(eq) = 11.7

see the fiqure .

some amount of current out of 8 ampere goes towards in 80ohm resostor ,some at 24 & 32 ohm resistors .

Also the total current on adding in all resistors comes out to be 8 ampere

means at ponit D the current is 8 ampere .

we have to calculate the current biffercates in each branches

using

V=I×R because it is all about parallel connection and we know that in parallel connection the voltage remains same .

which means in all circuit the voltage is same at all places.

so,

V=I×R

V=8 ampere ×11.7 ohm( as calculated above )

V = 93.6

Now ,as discussed above the voltage in circuit remains same at all places. so, in all the branches the voltage is same

V = I × R

( HERE WE HAVE TO FIND CURRENT IN 80 OHM RESISTOR BRANCH SO WE TAKE V AS 93.6 WHILE R AS 80 0HM) refer above image for clarification.

93.6 = I × 80 ohm

I = 93.6 / 80

I = 1.17 ampere

by this method we can calculate the current in othe branches like for 24 ohm and 32 ohm

I = V/ R

I = 93.6 / 24 ohm

I = 3.9 ampere

Current in 32 ohm resistor branch is

I = V/ R

I = 93.6 / 32

I = 2.92 ampere

as discussed above the current at D point is 8 ampere let's checkI = 1.17 A + 3.9 A + 2.92 AI = 7.99 A ( approx 8 A)
