R1=5 ohms, R2=10 ohms, R3=20 ohms.
These all three resistances are connected in parallel. As we known current is divided in parallel.
The equivalent resistance in case of parallel is:
1/Req = {(1/R1)+(1/R2)+(1/R3)}
1/Req = { (1/5)+(1/10)+(1/20)}
1/Req = { (4+2+1/20)}
1/Req = { (7/20)}
1/Req = {7/20}
1/Req = 0.35
Req = 1/0.35
Req = 2.856 ohms.
