In other words, current has tendency to pass from low resistor path. Hence current will be high in 3 ohm resistor.

As per

P =  i^{2} * R

more power will be dissipated in 3 ohm resistor.

Maximum power will be consumed by 3 ohm.

Given : Resistor

Find : Consumption of maximum power

Solution : In a parallel combination, the power is given by the formula ->

P  =  \frac{ {V}^{2} }{R}

As per the mentioned relation, power is inversely proportional to Resistance. So, smaller resistance will consume maximum power.

Hence, 3 ohm resistor will consume maximum power.
