Three resistors R1 , R2 , and R3 having resistance of 1 Ω, 2 Ω and 3 Ω respectively are connected in a circuit.

The equivalent resistance of the circuit is 0.54 Ω. What can you infer about the way in which the resistors are

connected?

1)All the three resistors are connected in series

2)R1 and R3 are connected in parallel

3)All the three resistors are connected in parallel

Answer:

3)All the three resistors are connected in parallel

Explanation:

R1=1Ω

R2=2Ω

R3=3Ω

If all resistors are connected in parallel

 \frac{1}{R} =  \frac{1}{R1} +  \frac{1}{R2} +  \frac{1}{R3}

Therefore

 \frac{1}{R}  =  \frac{1}{1}  +  \frac{1}{2}  +  \frac{1}{3}

Thus;

R=11/6 Ω

R=0.54Ω

Option C is correct
