there are 3 groups of students.
Group A has 40 students.  The pass percentage = 100 %  ie., everyone passed.

Group B has 50 students.  Pass percentage = 90%.
       So number of students passed =  50 * 90/100 = 45

Group C has 60 students and that group has pass percentage = 80%
         number of students passed = 60 * 80 % = 48

Total number of students from all groups who passed = 40 + 45 + 48 = 133

total number of students from all groups = 40+50+60 = 150

Pass percentage of all sets combined  =  133 / 150 * 100
       = 88.667 %
