3x - 2y = 4

3x = 4 + 2y

If y = 0 , then 3x = 4 + 2(0)

                     3x = 4 + 0

                      3x = 4    

                     x = \frac{4}{3}

∴ A solution is ( \frac{4}{3} , 0 )

If y = 1, then 3x = 4 + 2(1)

                    3x = 4 + 2

                    3x = 6

                      x = \frac{6}{3}

 

∴ A solution is ( \frac{6}{3} , 1)

If y = 2, then 3x = 4 + 2(2)

                     3x = 4 + 4

                    3x = 8

                    x = \frac{8}{3}

∴ A solution is ( \frac{8}{3} , 2 )
