Three steam boilers are used to supply steam to a turbine as shown in figure below.
Boiler-1 and Boiler-2 supply 2 kg steam each while the Boiler-3 supplies 3 kg steam.
All the boilers supply steam at the same pressure of 10 bar. The temperature of steam
from Boiler-1 is 350oC. The steam supplied by Boiler-2 is found to contain about 0.8
kg of saturated steam per kg of mixture of dry steam and saturated water. The steam
from Boiler-1 and Boiler-2 are mixed in the main pipeline-1 as shown in the figure. It
is found that, the steam loses 800kJ of heat in main pipeline-1 before it enters the main
pipeline-2. At this point, a fresh supply of steam at 10 bar from Boiler-3 is further mixed
with the steam coming from main pipeline-1. The enthalpy of steam in the main
pipeline-2 is found to be 20000 kJ. What is the condition of steam supplied from
Boiler-3? Also find the related parameter of steam coming from Boiler-3. Assume the
specific heat of water as 4.18 kJ/KgK and that of superheated steam as 2.25 kJ/KgK.
