Three table tops in the shape of a circle,
a square and a rhombus are to be polished
at the rate of 350 per m. If the radius of
the circle is 28 cm, the sides of the square
are 20 cm and the diagonals of the rhombus
are 50 cm and 26 cm, find the total cost of
polishing.

Here,

Three table tops dimension are given in cm and the polishing rate is given in m so we have to change in m.

Circle

Radii= 28

28×1/100

= 28/100

= 0.28 m

Square

Side= 20

20×1/100

= 20/100

= 0.2 m

Rhombus

Diagonals= 50 and 26

50×1/100

= 50/100

= 0.5 m

26×1/100

= 26/100

= 0.26 m

The area of the circle=πr²

= 22/7×28/100×28/100. [ This calculation is given in the attachment ⤴️]

= 22×7/25×25

= 154/625

= 4.05

Area of the square= side²

= 0.2²

= 0.04

Area of the rhombus= ½× product of diagonals

= ½×5/10×26/100. [This calculation is given in the attachment ⤴️]

= 13/200

= 0.065

Total area of three table tops= 4.05+0.04+0.065=4.155 m²

Total cost of polishing= 4.155×350=1454.25

So, the cost of polishing it is ₹1454.25
