the answer is very simple
the farmer moves a round in 40 s & we get that the perimeter of the square field is 40m therefore in 1s the farmer moves 1m & in 140s the no of rounds made by the farmer is 140÷40 =3.5
therefore the man covers 3&1/2 rounds in 140 s making its displacement 0
