so,

3(x + y) = 105 \\ x - y =  13 \\ \\  3x + 3y = 105 \\ x - y = 13  \\  \\ 1(3x + 3y = 105) \\ 3(x  -  y = 13) \\  \\ 3x + 3y = 105 \\ 3x - 3y = 39 \\   -  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  +  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\ 6y = 66 \\ y =  \frac{66}{6}  = 11

so Smaller number is 11 and larger number is 24
