Three times the width of a rectangle is twice its length. The perimeter is 48.
Find the dimensions of the rectangle. I don't understand how you do it?

Answer:

let the variable x.

let the length be (3x)

Breadth will be x

2(3x) + 2x = 48 \\ 6x + 2x = 48 \\ 8x  = 48 \\ x =  \frac{48}{8}  = 6 \\ x = 6

Length = 3x= 6×3= 18

Breadth = x = 6
