As per the data given in the question,

We have to write the expression in mathematical term and then solve the value of y.

It is given that,

Three times y minus 7 gets you 18.

For simplifying the equation,

We will write it by step by step.

So, Three times y will be = (3\times y) = 3y

As, it is written as, Three times of y minus 7

So, it will be (3y-7)

Now writing the overall expression,

We will get it as,

(3y-7) =18\\=>3y = 18+7\\=>3y = 25\\y=\frac{25}{3}
