Three types of cells present in blood are -
1) RBC ( Red Blood Cells) - These help in transport of waste materials, glucose, oxygen and other materials through the blood.
2) WBC ( White Blood Cells) - These are the immune system of the body, they help in fighting and killing bacterias and harmful pathogens that might enter the bloodstream.
3) Platelets - These cells form a blood clot whenever some area is damaged so as to prevent loss of blood.

they contain respiratory pigment which imparts red colour to blood.....
life span of RBC is 120 days....
2) WBC :
WBC are colourless cells which are larger than RBC.....
they are nucleated cells which can change their shape...
the number is less than RBC per millimetre cube in adult ...
they are capable of amoeboid movement.....
lifespan of WBC is 12 hours.....
3) PLATELETS:
these are small sized ,non nucleated ,cellular fragments if various shapes and ate commonly called thrombocytes .....
