Employment Minimizes Emotional Stress

Stress is an incessant flow of negative thoughts aroused by fear, loss, and worry. Such thoughts become difficult to handle when one has nothing to do. Work is considered to be a wonderful antidote to negative thinking or emotional stress. Employment minimizes emotional stress in the following manners:

1. It keeps us constructively busy. While doing job or work, we naturally remain cut off from the flow of negative thoughts as our mind remains busy thinking about the work on our hands.

2. At the work place, we have to work in the company of our colleagues, co-workers; their company keeps us busy and occupied, leaving no room for stress.

3. At work we get remuneration or salary at the end of the month. Other incentives such as praise, work satisfaction, etc. also keep us engrossed and busy.

These are just a few things that minimize emotional stress at work.
