Three ways in which human trafficking may affect victims self esteem and thus contribute to HIV and AIDS infection
Answers
Three ways in which human trafficking may affect victims self-esteem and thus contribute to HIV and AIDS infection are:
1. Human trafficking is dangerous for people as the oppressor victimises the oppressed into forced sexual activities.
2. The oppressed are often being rape survivors. There are cases where a victim has faced multiple rape attempts.
3. There are many cases where women and men are pushed into the chain of prostitution and sex slavery.
Thus they get HIV and AIDS
Human trafficking is the trade of humans, illegally, especially in the areas of prostitution, forced labor and organ donation.
While the primary cause remains forced sexual objects and then pushed into the morbid world of prostitution, this leaves the victims of human trafficking prone to diseases like HIV.
1) Being forced to have sex with multiple people does cause a person to contract HIV.
2) The victims are injected with chemicals that ensures they are unconscious and struggles less, these syringes too infects the person.
3) Last but not the least, the attack on the person’s self-esteem is often the most lethal. The fact that you are overpowered and your rights snatched away breaks you.
