ANSWER:-

Given:

Three year ago, the population of the town was 50000, if the population increase during three successive years was at the rate of 4% , 5%, 4% per annum respectively.

To find:

The present population.

Solution:

Here,

⚫Population of town 3 years ago 50000

⚫Annual increasing in 3 years= 4%, 5% & 4%.

⚫Let the present population be x

Therefore,

 = > 50000(1 + \frac{4}{100} )(1 + \frac{5}{100} )(1 + \frac{4}{100} ) = x \\ \\ = > 50000(1 + \frac{1}{25} )(1 + \frac{1}{20} )(1 + \frac{1}{25} ) = x \\ \\ = > 50000( \frac{25 + 1}{25} )( \frac{20 + 1}{20} )( \frac{25 + 1}{25} ) = x \\ \\ = > 50000( \frac{26}{25} )( \frac{21}{20} )( \frac{26}{25} ) = x \\ \\ = > 50000 \times \frac{26}{25} \times \frac{21}{20} \times \frac{26}{25} = x \\ \\ = > 4 \times 26 \times 21 \times 26 = x \\ \\ = > 56784 = x \\ \\ = > x = 56784

Hence,

The present population of town= 56784.

Hope it helps ☺️
