Three years before b's age = x

Three years before a's age = 3x

present age of b = x + 3

present age of a = 3x + 3

After 2years age of b = x + 5

After 2years age of a = 3x +3+2   or 2(x+5)

3x + 5 = 2x + 10

x = 5

Present age of a = 3x +3 = 15 + 3 = 18years
