Answer:

present age of A is 40 years

Step-by-step explanation:

let the present age of A,B,C be x,y and z respectively

then age of A,B,C. 3 yrs ago will be

x-3,y-3,z-3

average 3 yrs ago =27

therefore ((x-3)+(y-3)+(z-3))/3=27

on simplifying

x+y+z=27×3+9=90 eq1

similarly age of A,B,C 5 years ago is x-5,y-5,z-5

average of B and C 5 years ago=20

((y-5)+(z-5))/2=20

on simplifying

y+z=50. eq2

from eq1 and eq2

x=40 (answer)
