Heya!!

Here's your answer!!

Since both of them will get older by 3 years each sum of the present ages is 48 + 3 + 3 = 54.

If age of father is taken as x, that of son will be (54-x).

After three years hence, their age will be respectively

(x -3) and (54 - x +3).

The ratio is 3:1

(x - 3)/ (57 - x) = 3:1

3 (57 - x) = x -3

171 - 3x = x-3

4x = 168

x = 42 that is of father

54 - 42 = 12 after year of son.

Glad help you,

it helps you,

thanks.
