<b><u><i>Let the number = x

Thrice of the number = 3x

It was increased by 6

So, it becomes 3x + 6

Sum of the equation = 24

 = > 3x + 6 = 24 \\ \\ = > 3x = 24 - 6 \\ \\ = > 3x = 18 \\ \\ = > x = \frac{18}{3} \\ \\ = > x = 6

Hence, x = 6!
