solution : y = -x , is a straight line passing through origin as shown in figure.

you can get the points on the graph by putting on it. if point satisfies the graph, graph will passes through the point, otherwise not.

check (1,1)

LHS = 1

RHS = -(1) = -1

LHS ≠ RHS

so, (1,1) doesn't lie on the graph.

check (0,1)

LHS = 1

RHS = 0

so (0,1) doesn't lie on the graph.

(1,-1)

LHS = 1

RHS = -(-1) = 1

LHS = RHS

so, (1,-1) lies on the graph.

Therefore graph y = -x passes through the point (1, -1).
