Shylock is the antagonist character in the Merchant of Venice.Shylock hates Antonio as he is a Christian and Shylock is a Jew .Shylock is a cruel merchant and also a moneylender.He has a very evil mind. Shylock lend his money to Antonio but for that he is not taking interest he demanded to sign the deed in which if Antonio fail to give the amount he has to pay one pound of flesh to Antonio. Even Jessica doesn't like her father Shylock. so,she fleed with Lorenzo. Shylock is playing a role of villian in this play
