The six humans were trapped by happenstance in a very bitter cold but in place of helping each-other by fedding the fire with their stick,they kept their sticks with them due to the evils in their mind like Racial prejudice,Intollerance,Bitterness,Greed and Vice of spite.The stick was the symbol of Sin.

And at last they died from the Cold within.
