By this statement,Helen meant that because of her blindness, deafness and muteness, no one could help her even if they tried. So she had to learn everything by herself through her experiences in life.

Thus I learned from life itself – from this statement, Keller meant that life is her tutor. She learned from her life experiences regarding how to survive with blindness, deafness, and muteness.
Hence, from disable person, she turned herself into a specially abled person with life experiences. She learned and achieved her goals in life. She believed and proved that in the whole world, only one person can help to make you or break you and that person is you, yourself.
With the passage of life, a person learns how to live and grow at the same time.
