Ticket cost for 1 Adult = Rs 1600
Ticket cost for 1 child = Rs 1200

According to question

1 child goes free with 2 Adults

Thus Clearly  10 Children will go free with 20 Adults
Thus
no charges for Children will be there
Thus
   Total Amount to be paid = 23 * 1600
                                            = 36800 Rs
And without discount total Amount = 36800 + 12000
                                                       = 48800 Rs
Thus discount of 1200 is allowed

Ticket cost for an adult = Rs.1,600.

Ticket cost for a child = Rs.1,200.

Actual total cost for a group of 23 adults and 10 children = (23*1,600) + (10*1,200) = Rs.48,800.

Since 1 child can go free with 2 adults, the 10 children in the group can go free with 20 adults.

In other words, all the children can go for free and only the adults will be charged.

The adults have to pay 23*1,600 = Rs.36,800.

=> Total amount paid by the group is Rs.36,800.

Thus, the discount that the group gets is the total cost for the children = 48,800-36,800 = Rs.12,000.
