the tides are trapped into a space where the turbines are fixed the the waves which flow into that area are made to increase their energy and fall directly on to the turbines and turbines rotate and electricity is produced.

Answer :

Tidal energy is converted into electric energy with the help of a tribune which is fixed at the opening of the dam which converts tidal energy into electricity.

During high tide, when the water level in the sea is high, gates of dam are opened so that sea water flows into the reservoir of the dam and turns the tribune and electricity is produced.

Immediately after the high tides, gates of dam are closed and hence the water level in dam reservoir rises. At the time of low tide, the gates are again opened so that water from the dam reservoir flows into the sea. This flowing water again and again turns the tribune and electricity is produced.
