Tim has 80 coins in his piggy bank of these coins, 28 are nickels and the rest are quarters. What percent of the coins in the bank are quarters?

Given-

Total coins in piggy bank=80

No.of coins of nickels =28

No.of coins of quarters =?

:Let no.of coins of qaurters be X

Therefore.,

28+X=80

X=80-28

X=52

Hence the number of coins of quarters are 52

:)Now we have to find the percent of quarters in the piggy bank.

So, for this we have to follow the steps given below:-

Percentage =Total no.of coins of quarters/Total no.of coins in the bank ×100

=52/80×100

=65%
