This proverb illustrates the importance of time and also says that there is nothing which is more precious than time. The words TIME AND TIDE WAIT FOR NO MAN is due to the reason that the tides that come out in the sea are there forever and they do not stop or wait for anybody.

Answer:

we remain idle we waste our time and postpone things. Some times this procrastination is very bad. Many people lose their hard work because of postponing their duties. The importance of a minute can be learned from a person who missed the train due to a delay of one minute and had to postpone his whole journey.
