The proverb "Time and tide wait for no man" teaches how important and precious time is. Once a minute or a second is gone it cannot be recovered. It is gone forever. Therefore, we must not procrastinate or delay in doing what needs to be done on a daily moment by moment basis.

People cannot stop the passing of time. The processes of nature continue. No matter how much we might like them to stop, we can not. So, we must do our works without delay. It is not wise to put away works for tomorrow or the future. There is nothing more precious than time and it should never be wasted.
