NEI…Not Enough Information!
The person asking the question left out KEY information, such as whether or not the movie is being watched at home (DVD, Netflix, etc.), or at a movie theater.
If a person is watching this at home, just because they START watching a movie that lasts 2 hours & 15 minutes, doesn't necessarily mean that they'll watch it through until the end, without stopping it to go get popcorn, take a bathroom break, & something else. Furthermore, just because you START watching it…doesn’t mean you'll FINISH watching it…at least not in one sitting. I've got several movies in my Netflix going on that I need to CONTINUE watching, so it doesn't matter HOW LONG the movie is, it's not going to END until I go back & finish watching it.
If you're watching it at a movie theater, some have gotten hung up on how long the movie previews are, however, movie previews are not factored in into the actual “running time.” Furthermore, the previews can be shorter it longer, depending on the theater you go to, but as mentioned, that isn't even taken into consideration, as far as the “running time” goes, so it's a mute point. So, if the movie is being watched at a theater, if it starts at 3.15 & lasts 2.15 hours, it will END at 5.30…irrespective of whether or not you actually stay to watch the whole movie, take bathroom or food breaks, etc. It will still last 2.15 hours & END after that time has expired—with ONE EXCEPTION…if there is an equipment or power issue that disrupts the movie showing. And as far as the AM/PM issue goes (that some have brought up), that doesn't matter either.
PLEASE NOTE: I am giving information for watching this movie in a theater in America. There may be some differences if watching in another country, for example, they may actually stop the movie for an intermission.
