Ozymandias was a boastful and headstrong king. He thought that he was mightiest of kings. He challenges other king to perform greater work than he did. His message on the pedestal is an ironic statement. Even though he calls his work great all of that is now in ruins. It is ravaged by passage of time. Life is ephemeral however great one might be one has to go one day it is important to be humble and down to earth.

HEY MATE,

Once the king Ozymandias was so powerful that no other rulers were able to surpass his glory. He has erected a statue which shows his pride, arrogance and power. But,now his power and pride had descended with the descend of him.He was not able to leave anything.Even his statue was subjected to destruction. As the time passed, the power of Ozymandias faded away. This shows that time has reduced the mighty Ozymandias to nothing.
