Ozymandias was a proud and arrogant king in his time. But after he died all that remained of him was neither palace nor wealth but his giant statue. But as time passed, that statue started to break apart and one can only find its remains today. So with the passage of time all that was left of the King was only shambles of a previously glorious statue. The proud king had been reduced to nothing but few broken pieces by time. That is why one should be humble, so that they can continue to live in the hearts of the people even after their death. Time is eternal and can put everything including the greatest of Kings to shame.
