Time taken by Om to cover a
distance of x km at the speed
of 30 kmph is equal to the time
taken by Shyam in covering a
distance of (x - 10) km at the
speed of 25 kmph. Find the
distance Om has travelled.

Given,

distance covered by Om = x km

distance covered by Shyam = (x-10) km

Time taken by Om = Time taken by Shyam

T(om) = T(shyam)

d/s = d/s

x/30 = (x-10)/25

x/6 = (x-10)/5

5x = 6x-60

6x-5x = 60

x = 60

distance covered by Om = x km = 60km.
