Time taken to cross 4mm window glass of refractive index 1.5 will be?

hello friend...!!

according to the given question we should find thetime taken by the glass that has refractive index 1.5 = 3 / 2 .

we know that ,

μ = c / v 

given that μ = 3/2 , c = 3 x  10^{8} m / s .

therefore ,

3 / 2 = 3 x  10^{8} /  v 

⇒ v = 2 x  10^{8}
 
we know speed v = distance / time taken 

according to the question distance is 2mm = 2 x  10^{-3}

therefore ,

t = 2 x  10^{-3} / 2 x  10^{8}  

therefore ,

t =  10^{-11} seconds .
