I think 4 because 3 goes into 8 1/2 2 times, and 5 goes into 11 2 times. So 2 times 2 equals 4. This is assuming that their cutting for constructions leaves out the excess. You cannot just multiply the area of the cards to be 3 by 5 which is 15, and multiply the area of the paper as 8 1/2 by 11 which is 93 1/2, and then divide the 93 1/2 by 15 to obtain 6.23. The number of 3 by 5 inch cards you can make from 8 1/2 by 11 inch computer paper is 4.
