There will be no increase of decrease in perimeter as it affects the area of the rectangular sheet only.
Given : a square of side 4 cm cut off from a rectangular sheet of
length 28 cm and breadth 21 cm
To find : Has the perimeter of the sheet increased or decreased and by how much?
Solution:
perimeter of the sheet has neither increased nor decreased .
Perimeter of rectangular sheet = 2 (28 + 21)
= 2(49(
= 98 cm
Perimeter of sheet after cutting square of 4 * 4 cm
= 28 + 21 + 24 + 4 + 4 + 17
= 98 cm
Perimeter is still same
