• Let Pinku's present age be x

• Then, Tinu's age will be x - 3

According to question :-

Product of their ages is 180.

x(x - 3) = 180

 =  > x {}^{2}  - 3x = 180

 =  > x {}^{2} - 3x - 180  = 0

 =  > x {}^{2}  - 15x + 12x - 180

 =  > x(x - 15)  + 12(x - 15) = 0

 =  > (x + 12)(x - 15) = 0

 =  > x + 12 =0

 =  > x =  - 12

Ignore negative value ........

 =  > x - 15 = 0

 =  > x = 15

 =  > x - 3 = 15 - 3 = 12

Hence, the ages of Pinku and Tinu are 15 and 12 respectively.
