The inner lining of the human mouth is made of epithelial tissue i.e. Squamous epithelium. This tissue works as a protective barrier for the underneath tissues and muscles and also gives sensation to the mouth. Epithelial tissue ( squamous epithelium ) forms the inner lining of our mouth.
