let,

to prove √7 is an irrational number.

Assume √7 as rational number.

√7= a÷b

Now, √7b = a^2

Suppose, (consider C is any integer)

7b^2 = c^2 = (7b)^2 = (7c)^2

7b^2 = 49 C^2

b^2 = 7C^2

# √7 is an irrational number
