Eligibility Criteria for Software Engineering:

Some institutes require students to pass class 10 in order to apply for these programmes, whereas, others require them to pass class 12. Admissions are mostly done on the basis of state-level entrance exam for diploma courses.

Answer:you have to not only pass you should have interest as well as deep knowledge about computer science.

the basic eligibility criteria to become software engineer is to pass class 12 with subjects including maths and you should have degree of B.tech that is of 4years after class 12.
