Clarification :

Lustrous : Glass and Iron have the property of lustre.

→ The above materials are shiny in appearance and are lustrous in nature and hence they are categorised as lustrous materials. Metals are the best examples for the property of lustre since they allow current to páss through them. Eg : Gold, silver.

Solubility : The materials Sugar, salt and cubes are soluble in water and hence they have the property of solubility.

→ Solubility is the process in which a given substance combines with other molecules in water or any other liquid and dissolves in that particular liquid.

Transparency : Oil, cubes, plastic lid and glass have the property of transparency.

→ Transparency means transparent in nature. It is the property in which the objects allows the light days to páss through them. Some examples include glass, clear water, air, glass window etc.

Other materials :

Some materials aren't in the category of the above properties. Their properties are as follows :-

→ Diesel, petrol, rubber, leather, wood

 \tiny{ \boxed{ \begin{array}{c|c|c|c} \underline{\bf Non - lustrous} & \underline{\bf Non - soluble} & \underline{\bf Translucent \: objects} & \underline {\bf Opaque \: objects} \\ \\ \underline{\sf Wood} & \underline{\sf{Wood}} & \underline{\sf Diesel} &  \underline{\sf Wood} \\ \\  \underline{\sf Rubber} &  \underline{\sf Rubber} &  \underline{\sf Petrol} &  \underline{\sf Rubber} \\ \\  \underline{\sf Leather} &  \underline{\sf Leather} &\underline{\sf  - } &  \underline{\sf Leather} \\ \\  \underline{\sf Diesel} & \underline{\sf Diesel} & \underline{\sf  - } &  \underline{\sf  - } \\ \\ \underline{\sf Petrol} & \underline{\sf Petrol }  & \underline{\sf  - } &  \underline{\sf  - } \\ \\  \end{array} }}

Non-lustrous : This term states that the materials are dull in appearance. In short, we can say they are lack - lustrous. Especially non-metals are non-lustrous since they do not allow current to páss through them. Eg : wood, rubber etc.

Non-soluble : This term states that in this process the given substance (whether it's solid, liquid or gas) doesn't dissolves in water.

Translucent : It is the property in which objects the objects allow light rays to páss through them partially. Eg : butter paper, oil paper etc.

Opaque : It is the property in which the objects does not allow light rays to páss through them. Eg : Cardboard, wooden chair etc.
